Benefits Of Dental Hygiene Appointments

  1. A Better, Deeper Clean – No matter how well you brush your teeth at home, there will always be bits that you miss! Maria is trained in using specialist tools which allow her to access these hard to reach areas. Giving your teeth a comprehensive clean as well as removing built up calculus and hardened plaque.
  2. Prevents Tooth Loss – Leaving hardened plaque or calculus on your teeth can lead to advanced gum disease. When gum disease advances it can begin to destroy your tooth’s supporting structures, which will lead to wobbly teeth.
  3. Fresh Breath – If you have bad breath you are often the last to know about it. A dental hygienist will be honest with you. Halitosis is typically caused by bacteria that are hiding under the gum line. Routine visits to our hygienist to remove the bacteria that’s causing it will help you to keep it at bay at home.
  4. A Cleaner, Whiter Smile – A healthy, clean mouth can do wonders for your smile confidence. A dental hygienist can remove stains caused by daily food and drinks and can even make your teeth whiter than they were before with treatments such as PROPHYpearls air polish.
