WHAT IS INVISALIGN?

At Willow Tree Dental and Orthodontic Centre, we offer Invisalign clear aligner treatment in Swiss Cottage, London NW3, welcoming patients from Hampstead, Belsize Park, St John’s Wood and surrounding areas.

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, clear removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. Unlike traditional fixed braces, there are no brackets or wires, making Invisalign a discreet option for adults and suitable teenagers who want to improve their smile.

One of the main benefits of Invisalign is that you can remove your aligners when eating, drinking and brushing your teeth, making it easier to maintain your usual oral hygiene routine. Aligners generally need to be worn for 20–22 hours each day, according to your clinician’s instructions.

For effective treatment, Invisalign aligners generally need to be worn for 20–22 hours per day, following your clinician’s instructions. They can be removed for eating, drinking and cleaning your teeth, making them a convenient option for many patients.

HOW DOES INVISALIGN WORK?

We send accurate dental impressions and a specialist treatment prescription Invisalign. They then return a video treatment plan, called a ‘ ClinCheck ‘. We will discuss and review your ClinCheck with you. This is to ensure you’re happy with the predicted results.

Once you’re happy and you wish to proceed, your aligners are 3D printed in SmartTrack Aligner Material. Printing and shipping usually takes approximately 4 weeks.

Each set of aligners are worn for 2 weeks. Each set are a slightly different shape. It’s the subtle difference that applies the gentle pressure to move your teeth. We see you for with adjustment appointments, to monitor your tooth movement (also known as ‘tracking’) and to give your more aligners every 6-8 weeks.

HOW LONG DOES TREATMENT TAKE?

Treatment times will vary depending on your individual issue, but most cases are completed in 12-15 months. Though, we do offer much shorter courses of aligners that focus solely on the aesthetics of your front six teeth which can be completed in as little as 14 weeks!
